SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY EDITION 2008.

2008 will mark the 10th anniversary of the International Festival of Youth Orchestras. In these ten years, some 150 youth orchestras coming from 25 worldwide countries have participated to present a total of over 500 concerts in our spectacular Tuscan festival venues (Florence, Montecatini, Arezzo and many others). To celebrate the diversity and success of this exciting festival, orchestras participating in the special 10th edition in 2008 will be invited to unite and form a grand 'Festival Orchestra' to be conducted by a guest conductor at a celebratory gala concert. There will also be numerous social events to encourage interaction and friendship between participants, a chance to meet musicians from all over the world and to form future cultural exchanges and international musical projects.
